You'll benefit from Ron's experience structuring hundreds of transactions since 1988 and his ability to offer suggestions on how to best structure your exchange to fit your individual situation. No two transactions are alike so you'll benefit from a facilitator who has Ron's level of experience. His deep understanding of the tax code as it applies to exchanges will help you understand what it means for your transaction. Ron excels at helping clients understand their options.
Ron is experienced with all types of exchanges. Ron is one of very few exchange facilitators experienced with personal property exchanges. He had conducted exchanges involving cattle, marine vessels and property rights (including timber, minerals and even air).
Ron teaches continuing education classes to accountants, CPA's and Realtors throughout the Puget Sound in Anacortes, Bellevue, Bellingham, Blaine, Burien, Everett, Kirkland, Mt. Vernon, Oak Harbor, Olympia, Lynnwood, Renton, Seattle, Tacoma and surrounding areas.
Ron's career has been dedicated to financial services. From Seattle First National Bank he was recruited by a commercial equipment finance company. Ron remained in the leasing industry doing tax oriented equipment financing for sixteen years until the Federal tax law eliminated the popular ten-percent Investment Tax Credit program in 1986. When congress established the regulations for delayed 1031 exchanges in 1988 Ron made an easy transition to 1031 exchanges (due to his extensive experience in tax law). Ron helped establish the Pacific Northwest branch of a national exchange facilitation company. Ron enjoys structuring the simplest to the most challenging 1031 exchange transactions.
Ron is a native Washingtonian and a graduate of the University of Washington. Ron and his wife live in the Fremont area of Seattle, Washington.
